At DressMeDaddy we believe the best way to show your love for your child is by spending time together, especially reading. Spending time reading with your child is a tremendous way to help them grow and understand the world, in ways that only books can do. As we see ways to share our love of reading, or books that we enjoy, or events we support that encourage or promote reading, we'll pass them on here. If you and your child enjoy reading, let us know if you have anything to share too. We'll pass it on!
"Children are made readers on the laps of their parents." Emily Buchwald

In our town we have a wonderful bookstore called Pooh's Corner www.poohscornerstore.com
We encourage you to seek out and frequent your local independent bookseller, not only do they sell books but often they have great children's programming and special events!
Books For Bedtime is sponsored by The Literacy Center in our city, and it is just a great program. This past year over 4,300 books were collected, and this year promises to be even more successful. This program takes place in September/October, and we will add information as it becomes available, or if we see other programs like this that may be of interest to you and your kids.
